PROJECT BRIEF
Immerse yourself in the rich and diverse culture of a developing country of your choice and translate its essence into a captivating 12-page cultural book. Connect three (of the four) proposed cultural topics (landmark, food, clothing, and cultural event) around a central theme.
APPROACH
I designed a cultural book about Bolivia, highlighting three main topics: traditional attire, cuisine, and a key landmark. The 14-page book, along with a front and back cover, combines text, images, and illustrations to create a visually engaging and informative book. The central theme is nature, food, and fashion, and how those three topics intersect. My cover features hand-illustrated typography created in Procreate and Illustrator. The pattern seen on the inside cover, back, and attire page pulled inspiration from authentic Bolivian poncho design.
The cover and illustrations were drawn in Procreate, photos were edited in Adobe Photoshop, and the book layout was designed in Adobe InDesign. The final version was published on Issuu.com, a digital platform for sharing reports and publications.
